In the summer months, the square is a hotbed of activity, with many concerts, dance performances, outdoor art exhibitions, a farmers' market one afternoon a week, and weekly childrens' events. Many visitors come just to watch the beautiful fountain and to snack on lunch on a work break, or as a well-needed break while walking around downtown.
